Guys,

There has been some talk of 87 gr of RL-15 in a .470 NE case with two earplugs as over powder spacers. Anyone actually tried this yet?

Thanks,

Mike
I use packing foam cut out with a sharpened [with a chamfer tool] 50 BMG case. Just be sure that the foam is compressed under the bullet. I have used 2 different types of foam in my 450 No2, one "springy" and one more firm. I cannot tell any difference in performance even when shooting loads with the two different types of foam side by side.

Yes, Federal used them for some time, I don't know if they still do or not, but be sure they don't contail rubber and know how heat effects the ones you use...I have used the octogon shaped one that are foam and don't melt or burn. They just kind of go out the barrel. but I still like dacron, but its a little more trouble...
