I have an extra H&H length action and have been wondering what to do with it. I have a 375 H&H and a 416 Rem, both of which feed/function just fine. Does a 458 Lott made on a pre 64 H&H length action typically feed/function just fine as is or do the rails need some tweaking? What are others results? PA Bear Hunter, NRA Benefactor

I am almost sure the rails would need work. Just send me the action and I will send you some Minnesota snow to cover your shipping. Jim Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

I think our PA snow is just as white as yours. We aren't experiencing a shortage in my neck of the woods. I guess I will pass. I thought it would take some tweaking. This action is too clean to be messing with. I will just either make the short 375 that I have been kicking around or hang onto it until a pristine original barrel surfaces. My pre-war .375 feeds dummy .458 lotts up in the chamber a slick as can be. Maybe others won't

My pre-64 Model 70, which started life as a .375 H&H is now a .450 Watts, and I have never had the slightest feeding problem. I assume the Lott would be the same.

I just repeated AfricanHunter's result. My 50's vintage pre64 375 feeds Lotts from the magazine with no problem. NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics.

I went ahead and made another 375 H&H. PA Bear Hunter, NRA Benefactor

There is no such thing as having too many 375 H+H's.
