SO I am printing ~ 7" low with my newly acquired Ruger Guide gun in 375 Ruger. Looking at the numbers pretty sure I need a .250" front sight as the rear is not height adjustable. I looked at NECG and the lowest they have is .300 which would be an improvement but not close enough. I could get their Patridge sight and file it down I suppose but I would prefer a white bead. Anyone know who might sell a .250 front bead? | ||

I have had to replace the front bead on all my Ruger Hawkeyes, in fact all the iron sighted ones...I don't recall the height but it was the lowest one they had...They never charged me for the lower bead...If I was using a Peep sight that attaches to the ring bases (Brownells) I always ordered a NECG .500 gold faced partridge (post)and filed it down, or sometimes I filed it down to stand flush with the top line of the shallow v rear sight, much like a pistol sight picture..I like this set up very well, its fast and very accurate..
