What is a new left-hand Mathieu Arms rifle action worth ? H&H Magnum bolt face. Long enough for 375 H&H, but with magazine block installed shortening it to 300 Win Mag length. New, never used. These were made for Weatherby prior to the introduction of the Mark V action in the 1950s. Described in Frank de Haas book on bolt actions. Hammer

Hammer, I can't really say what todays value is. I dickered for 4 years over a factory Weatherby in 300 built on one that was offered for $600. (this was 14-10 years ago). Had a 3X weaver on it with a chip right in the middle of the eye piece. Shop wouldn't deduct for the fact the scope was worthless and I was hardheaded enough not to pay asking for it (or is that too stupid Anyway, American Rifleman ran an article on them and I hauled my ass up to the shop to get it before someone else wised up to it and someone had beat me to it. If you know of one for sale, I would possibly be interested if you pass on it. Let me know. Sorry I can't help more. Thaine "Begging hands and bleeding hearts will always cry out for more..." If you are trying to sell it I would put it on one of the auction sites and let the buyers determine the value. I would be shocked if it brought more than $700. However, you may get a collectors attention. My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I'd jump all over one at $6-700 if noby wanted it. I had a chance at one a few months ago @ $2200.00, way to high I thoughts. I had a nice one in .300 H&H 25-30 years ago, hunted bighorns with it and wasn't smart enough to keep it.
