The .700 BMG IMPROVED is the biggest caliber that you can use for hunting. A 1000 grain bullet at 3000 FPS. Or a 1200 grain bullet at around 2600-2700 FPS...! And the rifle will have weight around 20 Pounds...!

Many people here on board are in the proceess of doing a .620 belted rimless magnum which cover everything you're after,,bullet weight, speed and power !This thing will launch a 900 gr.bullet to 2500 fps,,and delievers a punch you won't believe,,and that goes both ways !!This beast outperforms the .585 Nyati, and maybe the wellknown .577 T-rex, which is used exstensively in tests,,by those crazy enough to pull the trigger.I'm not sure of the watercapacity of this thing but if .577 T-rex have 225,4 gr in german cases , think .620 Ok will have well over 200 gr.!
You could also get some special bullets,weighing 920 gr.and 1200 gr.ooouuucchh!!!920 gr.@2400 fps,,and 1200@2150 fps !!
You can also get a cartridge called the .585 Wells express, with water cap. of 200+based on the .585 Nyati and improved( using the cases full lenght of 3.1 inches to deliever a 750 gr. bullet to 2620 +fps,,about the same performance as the .577 T-rex,,and easier to get.
You will soon get to look at some pics of the most powerful handheld rifle here on "accurate..."ever made, namely the .600-50BMG,.700-50BMG.these monsters are necked up .50 BMG brass to deliever 900 gr. to over 3000 fps,,and 1000 gr. to 2980 fps,,(and that from a 26" barrel. With a 30 inch barrel you can push the envelop and have powers in the range of 14,5 mm russian X114 mil.rounds performance.Figure 3100 fps with the 1000 gr. Andrei - Are you any relation to a Troll named Axel? He's the only one I know who would post such a stupid question.
