I have a .500 Jeffery on a Model 70 action built by Frank Wells that I shot for the first time yesterday and it has a feed problem. Any recommendations on who to have look at the problem would be appreciated. Feed problems with .500 Jeffery are beyond my skill level.

What exactly is it doing? Also, can you post the magazine box dimensions? This is exactly why is it SO important that you buy rifles in big bores cartridges from gunsmiths who know what they are doing!

The next cartridge pops up from the mag at the bullet end when a fired case is ejected. Frank Wells is not exactly an unknown name when it comes to 500 Jeffs so I am suprised to have a feed problem with one of his rifles.

Thank you,

Ed

Yes I know.

Curious what the experts will say.

I don't trust 90% of the riflesmiths out there...

You are more trusting than me.

Since Mr. Wells just built the rifle for you, I suggest sending it back to him and let him have a look. I am certain he did not intend for a rifle to go out with a feeding problem.
