Ed - dunno if you saw last couple days, Michael had some B gauge x 4000 grain FN's made in the #13 pattern. Might see if you guys can put your platform and his slugs together for a test.

Those would need a deep hollowbase for my smoothbore 4bore.
The hard lead slugs I getting now are hollowbase,
1500-1520 gr. The 1" 4bore double that Ken Owen made
is rifled, but he designed it for 2000gr slugs,
not 4000gr. His cases are two on the right in picture,
and same as our cases we made.
Even in my falling block that heavy 4000gr slug would
have softball trajectory. And Hulk Hogan recoil.Ed

Geez, be nice to have a rack full of
those for my experimenting.

"""Cal. 1000 M.R.

Looks like a case that is made from 20mm brass
like our one inch 4bore case.Ed

Rich,

Sorry for the late response - I am not aware of the weight, but I have e-mailed Marco Rigido and shall have more information very shortly. I have sent him a link to this thread and hope to post the relevant information as soon as I receive it.

Good hunting!
