A friend just came over with a drilling that has no caliber id markings on it... He was told it is in 9.3x72 though the cases won't chamber, it is most likely 9.3x64Brenneke in my opinion. Nice little gun the two smoothbore barrels are 16ga with some nice engravings. The only marking on it are; G.MEEFPRT, BLINRICHS / SUHL (very scratchy) and a circular stamp on both barrels that is barely discernable. Anyone got a clue?

1. No, the Drilling is *not* chambered for the 9,3x64 rimless. 2. Two different and non-interchangeable 9,3x72R cartridges exist. That may be the reason. 3. A once-popular 9,3x65R Collath also exists. This cartridge is NOT identical to the rare and venerable 9,3x65R Brenneke. Carcano
