pertinaxH-4895. I couldn't get enough IMR-4320 in the case to get good velocities.
Other folks have had success with 4320. Your mileage may vary...

Demonical75.5grs H-335 with 500gr Hornady RN, Hornady brass, Win Mag primers = 2235 fps in my CZ-550.

Michael RobinsonVihta Vuori N540 is perhaps the most efficient powder for the Lott - good velocity at well below maximum pressures.
83-87 grains or so (back off to start, of course), with Federal 215s, Woodleigh 500 grain bullets and BeLL or Hornady cases have got me in the range of between 2,150-2,300 fps.

I do believe that is what Norbert uses and he has it pretty well proven in the field.

jeffeossoone poster claims 2350 with 4320... so it might be the right powder

DemonicalI was able to reach 2350 fps MV with H-335, but this is too fast; no point in that kinda velocity.
Note: I started my load where I thought I was well below the max' velocities listed, yet exceeded max' with my first string. So I worked down to find 2235 range.
2200 fps is all you need anyway.

510wellsI tried several several and settled on IMR4320, I get right at 2240 fps with 83 grs. Not compressed with softs and only slightly so with solids.
Took it up to 85 grs. for 2290 but didn't see the need. If I can't kill what I need to with 500 gr. at 2240 I don't want to be in the neighborhood.
Fed. 215, Hornady brass, Hornady 500 gr. bullet(s), Ruger RSM.

Constant change is here to stay.
Who knows what the need is?!

4320 works for me but it is highly compressed in order to get 2300 fps.
I would try VV powders but they are difficult to come by.

465H&HWith out knowing barrel length, posted velocities for the Lott are not very useful. Four inches difference in barrel length will mean about 100 fps diff in velocity. Please include barrel lenght when you give load data.

I've had good performance from N160, but must use a drop tube.

My load is 75.5grs H-335 with 500gr Hornady RN, Hornady brass and Win Mag primers, for 2235 fps MV.
My CZ-550 has the standard 23.5" barrel.

2200 fps is all you need anyway.I get 2280 with Hornady 500 gr bullet using 85.5 grs of IMR4320. With the solid I got 2355
with 85 grs but was hard to exstract. so I lowed the load of IMR4320 to 83.5 will see what it does soon. As far as acturate shooting 4320 put two bullets into the same hole at 100 yds off of bench.

Paul HI used RL 15 and Varget with 500 gr bullets, and there simply isn't enough case capacity to get into trouble, you'll need a drop tube and the powder will still be compressed. There is quite a bit of difference in lott chambers, so I won't suggest a load. Max loads in one of my lotts were starting loads in the other.
For 350 gr bullets I used RL 7, and it's a great powder for that task.
Fed 215's to get it all going.

shootawayI will look for a load that gives the tightest groups at 200yds.That way I know that my bullets are EXTREMELY STABLE.
