She looks to have been used quite a bit. I will be interested to see if it brings that much.

IF you are interested in a .425 Westley Richards there is a much nicer one on the Dorleac & Dorleac (Perpignan, France) web site. Scroll through the used rifles section:

They have a nice FN in 425WR for much less money- would fit the bill for someone who was looking for that claiber but didn't want to pay premium prices for a Westley Richards rifle.

Always hard to know how good the image will be when you transfer from a web site but here goes:

I once read that only the Westley Richards rifles in that caliber fed worth a damn. Apparently they had some sort of clip mechanism in the magazine or along the feed rails or some such thing. The bad reputation for this caliber came from the other low priced Mause conversion rifles that misfed and caused some serious criticism of the cartridge.

They are quite fugly. That extended drop box looks exactly like the one on that dreadful looking .500Jumbo? they said belonged to that fat pig war criminal hermann goring. Are you sure they were not put together in Zella-Mehlis or Suhl?
Who wants rebated rim or large-bore chambering with small cartridge case. Perhaps only WR collector? The only advantage is it fits std. length 'military Mauser' with std bolt face. Roll Eyes
