I noticed on sigarms it said they were producing mauser 98's in Big bore calibers.
Anyone have any idea how much these are?

Well, they are asking $14,995 for this one on GunsAmerica. My impression is that they are fairly expensive.

$14,995 Na they can keep it out of my price range by a long shot. And that price to me would mean a double, or a truck or something.

I am led to believe that Reimer Johannsen supplies the magnummauser action
I have seen them priced around the 10K mark, depends what options you order.

Look up the Mitchell's Mausers website. They sell the same guns as the SigArms magnum mauser, but for only $8K.

No hard feelings, but that's not a pic of a 'Basic model'. That sucker has 3+k "Stud Action".

That sounds like a movie I do not want to see. Eeker

As 500grains says, you can get one for less. I still think most would consider them on the expensive side.

I'm not a 98 expert but I do know that the true "Magnum Mauser" is very pricey. A big-bore can be made out of a highly modified standard length 98 and that may be what Mitchell's and others are offering.

With modern manufacturing mathods I don't see why these genuine Magnum actions should be so expensive. Roll Eyes Look they don't charge 3x more for Trojan 'Magnums'. Confused
Guess for a plebian hombre like myself the only choices are ZKK 602, BKK, CZ550 or Ruger. bawling

I suppose everyone knows you can buy a Magnum Mauser made by "Mauser". Check out their web site http://www.mauserwaffen.de and you may find that at an equal price, having the Mauser coat-of-arms on the gun may have some appeal.

Nice rifle, no doubt. But, any rifle I buy for 14 grand better have two barrels on it.
