Any body using this part? Opinions? Sunny Hill is waaay out of my budget. Will this part serve me well in a big bore? I'm thinking 375 Ruger or 458 Win Mag.

I would go with Duane Wiebe or PT&G.

I've bought one from Williams sometime back for my pre-64 aught six and don't see nothing wrong with it...sure looks nice and fit/function is perfect. For the money I don't think u can beat it. Carried around the Brooks Range in the last year and thus far it has held up.

I have two of them, one Pre and one Post 64 in the Oberndorf style and both are very nice. Are Duane's and PT&G's nicer? Maybe but William's are very good and certainly inexpensive.

If I was looking for a gorgeous blue/turkish full out custom, I would probably look at Sunny Hill, Wiebe or PT&G, but this is a working rifle for a working man.

The Obendorf is the style I am looking at.

We are starting on a run of pre 64 next week the price will be 99 bucks. We just finished six types of Winchester in all types of material. One of my mills is finishing up a batch of AI Remington M5 detachable mag gaurds and then I plan on running the Mauser steel on that machine. It is taking us time but we plan on doing it all one job at a time.I just completed our 7800 ft. addition and we are setting into place over a million dollors in new CNCs to produce many new parts to help folks build rifles affordable. My goal is to machine it correct and keep the cost down. I would hope you all keep a watch on our web site as we are grinding many more types of cutting tools and machining hundereds of new parts and fixtures. If you need any bottom metal fast I would get some from Duane. I think Duane is a great craftsman and has a great bottom metal design. Keep an eye on Pacific Tool we are about to come out with many new parts . Also we are looking for about ten new toolmakers and machinest to put in front of new mills and grinders . We now have 66 tool makers and hope to be 100 strong this spring. We will take as many rifle parts back from China as we can. We have already under bid them on a few parts and plan on keeping our pencil sharp . American parts should be made in America. Thanks Dave

No I never would think of having any of our parts made any place other than here. we make all our parts in oregon at our shop. My task is to start making parts that the large companies are having made in China and India. I am proud to say we have brought back sling studs and two types of cocking parts and also saved one large shop from having Mexico make their firing pins and bottom metal. I have never had any one help me on parts other than Pacific Tool or my other two shops here in Oregon ETC Machine and Pacific Precision Grinding I do from time to time have Joe help me with a few parts he is around the block from me. With over 90 lathes , mills , and grinders with almost 70 tool makers and a goal of a 100 folks by spring to fill our newly expanded 20000 ft shop. I will be looking at many new tools and machine parts to make. People who know me know I work long hours and run two shifts to work hard at keeping American parts made in America . Since I left JGS and started my own shop God has blessed me with 17 straight years of consecutive grouth. I cant say all the years did not have there bad times but over all its been a American dream and im not done dreaming yet. Thanks Dave

Duane , If anyone ever tells you that we have any thing other than toilet paper made in China they are lying and I take that very personal for any one even to suggest this . I am very proud of my crew and their machinig mucle they do alot for me and live up to our slogan . We work with WWII work ethic and modern tecnology and that equals job growth.
