Just finished a conversation with a friend of mine who has used the new Swiss Reload RS36 smokeless powder. He gets aprox 2050 ft/sec with a 300grain barnes in a shortbarreld Marlin.
That ain´t bad as I see it.

Here is the powder:

Just wondering(asking really) if you guys in the US knows about this gunpowder?:

Barnes Manual #4 shows 2500 with 300gr TSX in Ruger #1.

I am loading 250gr CEB FB using Barnes data. 2750 no problem.

I shoot 300s at almost 2400 fps from my guide gun. It kicks pretty good. h4598 if I recall, haven't shot it in a while

Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too!

Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

I bet your thinking in terms of the old trap door Springfield. I get 2000 grand with 350 grain hornady bullets.

no snake oil / no magic ! simply application of basic internal ballistics science ! Something every gunnery officer has been taught at gunnery school since the days of Ingalls in the late 1800's !

Thanks for the info. To answer your original question, no, this powder is either new, or not very well known in the US. Do you know if it's completely new, or a repackaged Nobel product?
