Thanks Nick, is IRM4895 comparable to Hogdon 4895?
What were the doses?

Thanks mate, I am trying to get some H4895, but it's not comonly stocked around here.

Today I will try wil some VV N140 and see how it goes, though I don't expect to get great results, as it has not been considered the ideal poweder for this load.

Keep well,

Joe

...Nickudu, I tried your loads today with the H4895, must say, noticed some pretty stiff recoil there...seems to be a lot "whippier" than I am used to...

VV N140 was actually more accurate, though I only got to shoot at 50meters. It put 5 shots through one ragged hole!

Express, I used IMR-4895 for 3,100+ fps.

I suspect your N140 load is well below that.

The 210 "X" is usually most accurate at around 2,850 - 2,900, as it was with the Win 760 load I gave you. Do you have access to a chronograph?

I do have a chronograph and will verify speed.
I liked the 70grainVV N140 laod, very mild recoil and I'd guestimate velicity @ 2800 - 2900fps.

Like I said I was only able to shoot them at 50meters, but they were all going through the same ragged hole.

This load I intend to use for moose this fall in Canada and maybe go even lighter and use on pigs and deer around here.
I'll do some more testing and post the results if your're interested.
