Just introducing myself
I appreciate all big bores. Most of mine are Encore barrels, Ruger # 1's and TCR's.

I just obtained a .416 Taylor and a .450 Nitro
built by JD Jones for my TCR 83. I also shoot 450-400 416 Remington, 416 Rigby and 416/348.

Welcome to Big Bore forum.

Apart from Big Bores themselves, whether it be reloading for any calibre, gunsmithing, optics, you name it, this forum is the best for answers. Smiler

Howdy Doc,
sounds like you'll fit right in

Is you 416/346 on a '71, as I assume that's a 348 win improved, to 416 - or, to say it another way, 416/450 alaskan?

Where are you from, as many of our members love to gather together to shoot and fellowship

Welcome Doc. This can be a good place for a shooter. I am into big bore, single shots too. Break open single shot shotgun with .577 NE barrel and a TC Encore with .500-110 barrel.

I live in Coos Bay Oregon and I retired as a school superintendent who used to teach reloading to my students. Someone mentioned a double I have a 50-90 and a Sauer in 11 MM. My 50-110 1886 is another joy to shoot. My 416/348 is based on 348 Brass.
Ive never met a big bore I did not like. My brother had a single 8ore for years and sold it before I could jump.
