Gentlemen, I'm out of .510 caliber milsurp pulled BMG bullets, which I purchased at a gun show. Would someone please recommend a good/cheap internet source? Thank you.

Hey, hey. I forgot about Jeff and he is in my hometown.

625/$250 of the 695-gr ball FMJ = 40 cents per bullet.

Thanks for reminding me. thumb

Gentlemen ----- My son-in-law has a rifle that he would like to know the value of. It is a Barrett 50 Cal single shot.He bought it new and has the box and all that came with it. He mounted a Leupold 6.5X20X50 Long Range scope with 3/4 Mil Dot, but has never fired the rifle. He also has 250 rounds of API Military Ammo with it. If you fellows could help me with some opinions, I would greatly appreciate it. Good shooting.

Hi Phurley,
The MSRP for those M-99 Barrett single-shot bolt action rifles is:
25" barrel, $3900
29" or 32" barrel, $3800
The same rifle in .416 Barrett is listed at $4000, with 32" heavy barrel.

I once bought one with a Swarovski 10x fixed power scope, with X-mas tree reticle bore-sighted at the factory, for about $4500, back in 2001.

I played with it for a while, put it in a Pelican case, I cut the foam to fit, and then sold it to Darrel Whittaker for about $4500. I was only out the price of the Pelican case, and Darrel sold it immediately for more than he paid me for it. Barretts were a little harder to come by back then, apparently.

Barrett sells their plain ball ammo with Barrett headstamp for about $4 per round. $325/80.

I seem to recall getting milsurp ball for about $2 per round, once upon a time. API double that?

Maybe the kit and kaboodle your son-in-law has is worth about $5000 or more.

RIP ----- Thanks for the very detailed information, it is exactly what my son-in-law needed. I have bragged my "AR IDIOTS" and how given the right questions they can answer just about any question on rifles, you came through once again. By the way, I live with 80 miles of Darrel Whittaker and buy a lot of my stuff from him. Thanks again for the info. Good shooting.
