What you want is this Robar 50 BMG with SALP ammo SLAP is fast very fast
Then you can get a Pyrotechnic tip that explodes very nice impact but the PH will not like it.

Overkill, the 50 BMG readily shoots 750 grain bullets. But I think our American friends will tell you a lot more about it

In communist Sweden, and especially in my county (aka Stalag 13), it's hard to get a license for anything above my 458 Win Mag. "It's too(???) powerful for moose. Your 458 is on the limit". This sentence is an actual quote of what the "license lady" at the local police told me when I rang her up regarding rebarelling a CZ550 Magnum to a 585 Nyati the other day. Unbelievable...

I was talking with a man today.. he likes big guns. And he said that he have one .50 BMG cartridge. And I said that I would want to see it.. and what BIG cartridge. And I wunder how fast it would push a "normal" .510 bullet? like a woodleigh 570 grainer?? Is it possible to load a .50 BMG with normal .510 bullets? and to what velocity?
And the brass is also cheap so it would be godd for me.
Thanks!

And what a cartridge is 14.5x114 (compared to .50BMG, near twice muzzle energy (over 30 000J)). And what cartridge is 30x210 Czech (compared to 14.5), and what cartridge is 155mm howitzer (compared to . . .). You can go up and up and up and there is no limit. For hunting rifle, my opinion is that from "not bench rest size and weight rifle", barrel upto 28", .500 a-square or .505 gibbs or .510 based on gibbs case or .408 chey-tac case will produce same or better velocities as .50BMG without too much recoil, blast, scream etc . . . As I was younger, I was interested in super high velocity cartridges for caliber (And I am a little now), like .30-378wby, .300 pegasus or .22/6mm remington etc., but you could also make 6.5/.50BMG, or WWII antitank 8x107, so where is the limit ? I am not going to insult anyone !, but it is my opinion. What do you think ?

Ok, yes, you can load the .50 BMG with .510 diameter hunting bullets, and Barnes and several other companies make hunting bullets for the .50 BMG. The Barnes manual lists the following load data for the 600 grain .510 XBT:

H 870, 195 grains 2550 fps, max 220 grains 2930 fps
H5010, 190 grains 2580 fps, max 217 grains 2980 fps
H50BMG, 223 grains 2830 fps, max 252 grains 3120 fps
VV 20N29 243 grains 2810 fps, max 265 grains 3060 fps
VV 24N41 220 grains 2745 fps, max 243 grains 3025 fps

Barnes also has a 570 grain X and 570 grain solid, both in XLC coat, for the .500 NE, but load data for those bullets in the .50 BMG aren't listed.

Jeffey, SLAP ammo is a nono in non stellite barrels, it tends to rip the rifling right from the throat, Besides where do you get the stuff, anyway? The mk211 Raufoss ammo, developed by the Norwegians is much more barrel friendly, but like SLAP, isn't available thru commercial channels, as far as I know. Do you know a source for this stuff? I'd really like to score a supply of the Raufoss before the legistlators wise up, so I have it when I can afford a .50BMG rifle.
