I've been busy the last 5 months or so and have not been online much in that time. Today I logged onto MidwayUSA and was browsing bullets... Did anyone notice the price increase on the new 500gr Interbond went up from about $24.99 for the old InterLock to $39.99 for the "improved" InterBond? I was disappointed at this - at first the price on the InterBond was the same and I was pleasantly surprised at this. Silly me, as soon as the old InterLock stocks were sold out they suckered us in and then raised the prices. I might as well pay another $8.50 and use a Woodleigh Weldcore if I'm paying $39.99 for Hornadys... PS: Anyone used these new InterBonds on heavier animals - how do they perform? I'd been waiting to get some in .375 since last year but haven't used them yet on game. .22 LR Ruger M77/22 30-06 Ruger M77/MkII .375 H&H Ruger RSM

I agree. It is a pity that they have abandoned the practice bullet market. The old ones were great for that at the price

I'm with you on this as I think the Woodleigh's are probably better bullets. Roi DRSS member Constant change is here to stay.

I just checked Midsouth and the 500 RN Hornady is logged as $47 and an interbond and the interlock is not available. For that matter there's no other "cheap" 500 grain "practice" bullet from nosler, speer, or sierra. Seems a reason to email them.....there's a nitch to be filled. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I don't know why the 458 Interbonds are so much more expensive than the Interlock version. If you look at the 375 Interbonds they're only about $1/box more expensive than the Interlock prices. It doesn't solve your problem, it's just an observation. ______________________________ "Truth is the daughter of time." Francis Bacon

Graft and Son has them for $28.99. I ordered one box for stash since I have 100 Lott loaded. Thanks for heads up.

ForrestB, Yes, so far the 300gr .375 Hornady InterBond is the same price as the old InterLock. However my suspicion is that the price will go up once the supply of the old InterLocks is dried up. That's what they did with the .458's... At that point they're losing their market share as far as affordable bullets goes. I'm sure the InterBond is a big improvement over the cup and core designed InterLock, but when you almost double the price you become a faceless part of the crowd when so many others already have the super-premium bonded core bullet market covered. .22 LR Ruger M77/22 30-06 Ruger M77/MkII .375 H&H Ruger RSM

I believe it's because the interbond isn't available yet. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Winston Churchill

Forrest, Midway has the .375 InterBonds in stock (finally after waiting a YEAR!!) for $14.49 I think it is. I ordered a box of them this morning and also a bag of .375 H&H brass since they've got those in stock too. .22 LR Ruger M77/22 30-06 Ruger M77/MkII .375 H&H Ruger RSM

I stocked up on .375 bullets, but the .416s have gone up too. So much for cheap bullets.

Midway is selling the Hornady 458 500 grain bullets cheaply right now - $13.59/50. It might be time to stock up on your plinking bullets. 458 Interlock Closeout ______________________________ "Truth is the daughter of time." Francis Bacon

Believe me, I am a "cheap" as the next guy but when it comes to using 416 and 458 bullets for their intended purpose I don't want cheap - I want good and the from my initial experiences the new Interbond bullets justify their expense. Phil, Phil, Phil... the post(s) are in reference to good practice boolits, and the seemingly "gouge" price of the bullets. Me, I avoid the potential for screwing by using a good gascheck cast boolit. Rich
