<Daryl Elder>Peep for Marlin GG?
I checked out the Wild West Guns site and their rear peep looks a little more robust than the Ashley. Any opinions?

Hi Daryl,
The Wild West Guns rear peep is very strong and very ugly. The Ashley peep is very strong also but a little nicer looking. Unless your planning to use the wrong end of that 45/70 for beating down bears I would go with the Ashley 470 Mbogo

EdI put a Williams WGRS peep made for the Browning BLR on my Marlin. No one else was around doing it back then. It required some filing of the bottom but the 1/2" hole spacing worked fine, I recall. It is very small, light and yeah, it's aluminum but I have had no problems with it and my groups shrunk a buch over the factory sight.

Toomany ToolsI have one of Jim West's modified Guide Guns. I highly recommend his setup, both rear and front sights.

PCDaryl have you thought of fitting a red dot, on the 45/70 it makes for an extremely fast fireing outfit. I have one on my 1895ss and love it for running game, just an idea

JoelSI have WWG's sights on my co-pilot and I love them. My rifle was dropped off a small cliff on kodiak and the rear sight survived. The front had to be replaced (gravity works, dont try this with your rifle). Too me they are worth the money.

<Bill>I have never seen the wild west sigths, but I do have two sets of Ashleys. I am very found of them and think they are worth every penny.

<Daryl Elder>I just saw a sight in the Brownell's catalogue. I believe it's a "Brockman"? Kind of a cross between a WWG and an Ashley? Any thoughts?
