Does anyone have any experience with the Barnes Vor-Tex ammo for the .458 WM/Lott? I believe it is all loaded with the TSX - FB bullet.

I have a RSM 458 Lott, but was interested in the 458 WM ammo. I noticed the 450 gr is listed at 2240 FPS, which prety darn good for a win mag (albeit 450 gr compared to 500 gr). I think this would make a nice buffalo round for me....

I bought one box of Vor-tex 458 Win which I will try in my Mauser M03 in 458 lott on Saturday.
Also wanted to try the VorTex in 458 Lott but those where out of stock.
Its fairly cheap here in Norway compared to the rest available in those calibers so I'm think this ammo could be a very good option for factory ammo

Cardinal where did you buy the Vor-tex ammo?
Im from norway as well and need to find a barnes supplier for my CZ 375 H&H due soon...

I haven't done any accuracy testing, I only used them for a baseline in pressure testing.
The .458 Win mag, 450gr TSX shot in my Mauser M03 in 458 Lott with a 25" barrel, the Vor Tex 458 Win chrono'ed only 2105 and 2110fps.
