Cabelas has a couple of Ruger #1's in the Craig Boddington Series. I guess this is the first of five and is called the lion. It's chambered in 375 Ruger and they costs $1400. Is this a good price or could I get it cheaper elsewhere. Thanks for the replies...PaLuke

Sorry; I'm a shooter, not a collector, most of the time. I got my Ruger #1 in 450-400 3" for $800 plus tax. Much sounder use of funds in my situation. Bought bullets, brass, dies, and loaded Hornady rounds with the balance.

I guess Craig is getting a cut of that $1400.
A ruger no.1 in 375 ruger would be kind of silly unless you just want to enrich Craig out of the kindness of your heart..

You can get the Hawkeye African in .375 Ruger for about $800.

You can get a rimmed cartridge in a Ruger No. 1 for less than $800 in my neck of the woods. 450/400NE3" is the coolest factory Ruger No.1 yet. Let's hope they produce a 470 NE Ruger No 1 soon.

Ditto's Rip,

Another 300.00 dollars and you can have a Ruger #1 and a Ruger Hawkeye in that caliber, or better yet two Ruger #1's in 375 and 450/400.
