Hi all, I've heard rumors of chamber ringing and other bad things about Dacron filler. Are these old wives tales?

No, it really can happen but I never had a need for filler for my 505. Most reasonable charges provide a 75% or better fill.

But I haven't tried Blue Dot in my 505! hilbily

Mostly I hear about it in the big Nitro Express cases that have a lot more empty space and hangfire or worse if you don't trap the powder at the back of the case.


"Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.
