G'day I have two ruger No1s that I have In 458 class 45-70 and 458 lott (it was a 458 win mag) A couple of my hunting friends have gone 50 crazy as well as hitting the age of 50 . Has or is there anyone using lead projectiles in 50 cal?, what velocity are you getting? What are the best moulds to use? It would be nice to just plink (thats shoot tin cans or the odd rabbit)with lead to cut down on costs. Also what is the ideal 50 cal I thought of one based on the 460 weatherby. Your thoughts and ideas would be appreciated. regards Hippy from the Bush

G'day mate. You might try posting on the cast boolit column as these guys seem to never put a jacketed bullet down their barrels. I'm double nickle and I have been told that I don't act my age. Huh? I act my age and I die.
