Well my 600 OK is in one piece. I have done all the work so far. I havent finished the mag box yet and the rib and banded front sight are just roughed out. I am modifing a reloading press this week then I will work up some 1040gr cast loads to start with. I will strap her down for the first few shots! The headspacing and extractor slot turned out great. I have only one recoil lug now bedded into devcon.(might add a second) Both crossbolts also are bedded into devcon. I hope my muzzle break works I made it coping a "vias?" She weights about 12 lbs but I still have to add my mercury tube and the mag box cover.

wish me luck.

It's looking very nice. Will the brake be removable with a threaded cap? With mild loads and mercury tubes, I suspect the brake will not be a necessity.

Dan
The break is threaded (7/8nf) I still have to make a cap for when its removed. It feels like it is going to balance the best with the break after I add the mercury tube.

AC- The reamer manufacturers are pretty stand up guys and we know each other very well. God knows I've given them enough buisness! They won't take orders for blatant copies of wildcats unless the owners of the drawings expressly ok it. For example, you can't make a copy of the 470Mbogo reamer without Dave's OK. Ed and I are good friends and I have encouraged AHR to make all the .600OK's they can sell. I get nothing from it except the personal reward of seeing others enjoy what this thing can do and of course some accolades as the designer. I do get my reamer re-sharpened from time to time. -Rob

Tonto- You Da Man! Congrats and you've done a very nice job. One to be proud of. I will echo Fritz's comments. The 165 gr,IMR 7828 load with a 900 gr woodleigh is impressive. Without a break its NO FUN. 500Grains will know what I mean. After firing this same load in a .600NE Heym it was positively brutal. I also could fire only 5-6 in a day. With a brake that load is a pussycat. At 2400fps you have a tiger by the tail! Try shooting some water jugs to see the HYDRAULIC-Kill effect. It's just like a .257 weatherby with penetration!Trust me the same thing happens to game!-Rob
