does anyone have any experience with the 3x9
conquest scope.i bought 10. 3x9x36 scopes years ago when the dollar was much more attractive to the mark. and have used my last scope.have new rifle and based on past expereince am hooked on zeiss.but the 3x9x36
is no longer available. the conquest is around 450.00 and the german 3x9x42 is about
900.00 dollars. is the german series worth 500.00 dollars more and is the conqeust series as good as the old 3x9x36 german scopes. Lastly, are the conquest just a decent 400.00 dollar scope and how do they stack up to Leopold vari x three if i want to stay in the 400.00 to 500.00 price range.
Some of you well schooled and traveled hunters give me your input please.. thanks

I can not speak with authority about which is best but understand that anything imported all put together will have a very high import duty on it, If you can assemble foreign parts in the USA there is little or no duty. There is one reason for price difference. As I recall that duty is like 33%.

I'm pretty certain the American made Zeiss do not have the same lens coatings as the German made ones. They are coated, and Zeiss would not put their name to anything other than a top class product...

I love those 3-9x36 Zeiss scopes! I bought 4 myself.

The conquest does not do it for me.
