I recently purchased a new 416 Rigby and on the receiver it has Safari Classic not Safari Magnum. The only Safari Classic I see now are not offered in 416 Rigby, has this changed recently?

Given my recent experience with a Safari Classic in .404 Jeffery, I am not sure that the folks in Kansas City have much of clue what is going on and what they are making. When I asked them about the twist on my .404 barrel, they could just tell me that they "thought" it was 1-in-10. Not exactly confidence inspiring.

yessss, weird huh?

my older 416 says Safari Magnum and is in the F2xxx serial number range. The new one Says Safari Classic and is in the A175xxx range and has the front sling swivel stud in the fore end instead of the barrel band version.

Go figure...
