I picked up mail at the Post Office this morning, and there was a new catalog from CDNN Investments (vol 2002-2).

They are showing the ProHunter .376 Steyr with two mags as a "last chance" at $449.00.

They also have the .376 Steyr Scout for $989.99, or $1,299.99 with the Leupold Scout Scope installed and factory pre-sighted in either the black version or the Jeff Cooper version. These two come with a free box of Hornady ammo.

They also have stock spacers for $6.99 and rubber buttplates for $9.99.

The ProHunter sale is a great deal on a very good rifle; if you have been thinking you want a .376 Steyr I would pounce on the ProHunter. This cartridge is a ".375 H&H Short", but there is nothing wimpy about it. [Wink]

Mike,

You have to put on your glasses, then look at page 31, lower left box. Both of the .376 rifles have the line "Built-In Mag Storage and 2-Mags" in the fine print just over the price.

I would not have seen it except I was trying to see what the difference was between the $989.99 and the $1299.99 rifles. [Wink]

I saw that but unless Im mistaken it is only the scout versions that come with two mags. It looks to me like the prohunter still only comes with one mag.
I had the wife look at it too just to be sure since Im without glasses at the moment. Long story but my eyesight took another turn downward. Getting new ones made and they have to have the frames on progressives.
Anyway, I agree the prohunter in 376 at that price is still the best deal around. Looks like CDNN is about getting tapped out on all the Steyrs though.

Mike,

Looking back, you are right -- it is only the Scout versions that come with two mags. But at that price, I would just buy the rifle and worry about the mags later! [Wink]
