Would anyone know about dr. white of white muzzle loader wanting to make a falling block
double rifle?

I wouldn't know anything about a falling block double rifle-----but I sure would like to! If Ruger made it they could call it the #2.

Some years ago when I wrote to Martin Hagn in connection with an article that I had been assigned to write, he told me that he was experimenting with a double on his falling block action. He also wrote that it would take time since he is a one man operation - perhaps some member in Canada could call Mr Hagn up and check.

A falling-block double would be interesting, but I doubt that such a beast could be made as trim and well-balanced as a traditional break-action job. Saying this, I must admit to liking falling-block single-shots better than most break-action singles!! Strange??!!

I have visited Martin's shop a couple of times. I never saw a completed rifle but examined a working wooden model. My recollection is that it was not particularly bulky. It seems to my memory that he had located the barrels very closely together as it did not have to have provision for securing underlugs like a standard SxS. Looked quite feasible. Someone else has mentioned seeing a completed rifle so perhaps he has done one in the past 2 years.
