Well I've just got my first CZ in .416 Rigby today. Purchased the rifle from Bill G. in Oregon and it is near as I can tell never been fired. I have already planned to do the #2 upgrade at AHR. As those of you who have done this know, Wayne cuts the barrel in adding the new sight. So I need to decide what to cut that down to. Being that I'm not tall to begin with and have a arm to leg ratio something akin to a T-Rex, I'm thinking of taking the barrel down to 22". Is this too short? | ||

If the balance is "off" for you, you could add a few ounces to the buttstock to put the balance back between your hands. My 550 in 416Rigby is cut to 21", very handy for getting in and out of truck and such. And I DO notice the difference in length. The front ramp was replaced with a Masterpiece that has elevation adjustment as I rather like the rear sights on the 550 and the 602. Mine has a Brockman laminated stock (the original with no cheekpiece) and the sling wivel is on the barrel. Shoots beautifully and the last Elephant i shot with it didn't complain.
