I recently aquirred a hog-back stock for my CZ 550,.375H&H. It had no pad on it so I have been using a slip on pad. I want to get a proper one put on it.

I am looking at a couple of diffrent ones. Pachmyer Old English or Pachmyer Old English Deccelerator. I like to looks of these and they are available at a local shop.

Here is what I want to wind up with

1. Looks right on the rifle. I like how these look but am open to suggestions

2. Slightly short LOP than original, easier to mount rifle when hunting with heavy clothes.

3. Decent recoil absortion, when I am hunting recoil is not a problem. I figure that for range use I can use an other slip on pad or strap on shoulder pad to do load development.

Any thoughts or better ideas?
