Who wants a Nitro Express double for $2200? Well get yours here! A couple of members have either converted or hoping to convert Pedersoli 45/70s to .450 Nitro Expresses (No.2s). Some one came up with the great idea - what if Pedersoli actually chambered a .450 NE No. 2 in the first place. I contacted Pedersoli and this is there answer. ************ "Thank you for your email August 16, we could read back from Summer holidays. We take note of your information and we appreciate your suggestion for this new caliber. We will keep it in mind for future developments, which are driven by the request of our main importers, who support us in the investments costs of new projects with their sales. Best regards, DAVIDE PEDERSOLI & C. Snc." ************ If anyone who is interested contacted Pedersoli importers and distributors - could WE get one going? This is the link to their distributors listing http://www.davide-pedersoli.com/eng/distributori.htm Get it a go and see if we can achieve anything! (note the price is for a 45/70 and not a guaranteed price - but where else can you get a 45 double for that new?) [ 09-03-2002, 15:02: Message edited by: NitroExpress.com ]

What are these rifles proofed for? Will they take the same load a Ruger #1 would take or are they limited to the lower power loads?

Just looked at their web-site and see it is also available in 9.3x74mm Rimmed.

DB Bill That could be an issue for DP. If it is it wouldn't be possible. But until then ... I certainly have contacted the Australian importer and mentioned the double and I would certainly buy one if a good NE cartridge was chambered in one at a similar price. It would be a great little double.
