| I am building a 550 mag. The aol may vary from 3.75 to 4.0. It has a straight wall. There is very little movement in the magazine till it hits the forward end. No way to get it to release or pop up for the bolt to grab the base for a positive feed. I have pictures and can supply more or any that may help visualize the situation. |

| Use a flat follower like a Weatherby 378/416/460 follower and make it feed out of the center. If your using flat nosed bullets you still will have to work on the ramp.

| If I had wanted it to feed like a Weatherby I wouldn't have spent a $1000 for the PH. You also loose 1 round by going that way. I have a 475 on a Weatherby action that still has issues with feeding. Thank you for the suggestion. Have you had to use your method with large case cartridges in your none Weatherby actions? |
