Greetings - have enjoyed many topics on this site, recently joined - wish to thank everyone for the information and opinions - my question is: has anyone built up a rifle based on a 460 Weatherby shortened to 2.00" in 50 (.510) caliber? Like the 458 x 2" American - any information would be appreciated, possibly a project gun in the future - thanks again for all the knowledge.

I don't know about a rifle but JDJones did it in a single shot pistol. He used the .378 Wby but it is the same difference. He turned the rim on a lathe to .473 dia. If I knew how I would post a picture of it. Let me know and I can e-mail you a picture. As a side note. I knew the gunsmith that had it for testing and he let me fire it. After 6 shots my hand was turning numb. It was surprisingly accurate and was a great way to make crushed ice when the target was a frozen gallon jug. WyoJoe
