I think they can look rather nice, check out this one. A greener gp someone converted to 218 Bee. Sarge, I think with the proper tooling, dimensions, and strength of materials, one could build whatever he wanted. | |||

I have his book, and, in fact am seriously contemplating building one in .17HMR. He has two models, one for .22RF, one for the .218 Bee class cartridges. As the actions as designed use cold rolled plate, I don't think they would be suitable to scale up. They can be assembled using the silver solder method, or welded. Now, if they were machined out of 41xx, rather than being built up from plate... However it would still have to be welded up. I don't know enough metallurgy to comment on that... | |||

Could they handle .600 Nitro cases ?? or even .700 nitro or is .577 nitro the biggest you can go ?? | |||
