Mine are RCBS, but had them made 22 years ago. I don't know if they still do customs.

And in a different topic I was told Redding will custom make dies in six weeks.
I called CH hoping for a set of 404/ 375 H&H dies and that's what they told me, 2 1/2 years.

Have you checked with Hornady? I purchased mine from them in 2015.

No.
I was interested in the H&H cartridge opened up to the 404 Jeffery dia.
Now it's a 22" barrel lh Zastava Mauser in 400H&H. Kevin Weaver has a good turn around time and 400 H&H dies in stock.

What bothers me a little about the 400 is limited bullet variety. I'll be able to buy Woodleigh bullets it looks like, and hopefully Barnes tsx. I've mostly settled on tsx's in all but my 9.3x62 so I'd think if I could get Barnes bullets that'd be it.

On the other hand, if I chase .423 dia bullets it seems like quadruple the choice.

Gotcha. I think Echols was messing with one of those 404/375s a while back.

I also use Barnes everywhere but my 9.3 - there it’s North Forks.

In my 9.3 I use Woodleigh and Partitions and they both are hammers on moose. It'd be interesting to see how either would perform on bear but I don't want to skin or tag one.

I like the tsx a ton, but are we going to have new production? We have to! Hope remains eternal.

I've always been more interested in 375 H&H case necked up to .423. Would that be a 375 / 404? Always been captivated by the 470 Capstick too , but since I got my 599 Jeffery have no need ...

Regards,

Chuck

If I was denied my 404 Jefferys, Id simply go with the 416 Remington, seems nothing would be gained by a 400 and its never been popular..just saying!

That's interesting. I ordered a set of .470 Capstick and .510-505 Gibbs dies from them last year and, much to my surprise, they delivered both in about two weeks.
