I assume this round is based on the 404 Jefferey and if so is it ballistically the same as the Rem 375 Ultra mag?

Lobstick River,

Welcome to the forum.

These two should be very close ballistically.

Thanks,

Just found the site the other day and must say I am very impressed.

I just purchased a 375 Rem Ultra and hence my question after seeing your videos of the 375/404 in action.

ditto to that. Sounds a lot more "African". Super, Ultra, Hyper ... But some years ago some people would perhaps complain about "Express" "Magnum" ...

There was a quite similar 9.5x73 Miller & Greiss Magnum.
That name sounds well, too.
