SR, I have had the pleasure of visiting with Neill at the Super Shoot, and several phone conversations. There may be somebody,as RIP intimates, doing as good a job as Neill, but I do not think anybody I have ever heard of is better. A nice thing about CPS; you can get the dies threaded or for an Arbor Press. The micrometer seating stem is very precise, and repeatable. I have one set over 20 years old. The micrometer seater works great on the .408 Chey-Tac. I don't think I would have much use for that feature on wildcat dies. Otherwise nicely finished custom dies sound good at the prices listed. | |||

I don't know, but CheyTac USA stocks those dies, available off the shelf. I guess sumbuddy will have to make a telephone call: (229) 686-1911 I think they will eventually make some 400 Bateleur dies (.408/.338 Lapua Magnum) if I ever get the reamer drawing from Dave Manson. | |||

John Widden does excellent work, and he lives and breaths the shooting sports. I don't have any of his dies yet, but that is only because I have not needed to buy a new die in the last few years. Last I heard, his lead time on custom dies is around 60-90 days. | |||

They are showing 2 die set for big cases, 1" thread being 320 bucks, slightly expensive, and if 3 die set for real big straight more yet.. CH4D has my 585HE 3 die set with 1" thread for 204 bucks and a big bunch ahead in stock..Ed MZEE WA SIKU | |||

Nashville, GA is 8 hrs, 33 mins from my home, but only 2 hrs, 1 min from mother-in-law in Florida panhandle. Sounds like next time I visit the in-laws I will disappear for a half-day.  | |||

My RCBS Safari 3 die set in 505 Gibbs set me back $389 here in Australia! Those custom dies are CHEAP! Good looking dies, wonder what they would cost over here?! Cheers. | |||
