CZ550 .375/.416 -- stock style
I'm drawn toward the American stock...but other than looks can't explain why. Any advantages or disadvantages toward the American or previous (European?) style stocks on the CZs?

Assuming the American style stock is better, can anyone give me leads to stock replacement companies?

Thanks guys.

hogback is designed for "chin" weld, or a more upright head position, for sights... american is a decent designed stock. american walnut makes the stocks.

We sold a few of both in moderate and heavy calibers when I was working in a sporting goods store. We got a number of complaints about the recoil on the European style on heavies, but we had one guy with a 375 that claimed that recoil seemed better with the Euro stock.

I have a euro style stock on my 375 CZ. My father as an American in 416. My rifle seems to have a very moderate recoil, but most important it seems to fit me much better than his rifle. If I were to buy another CZ I would definately get the euro stock, but my father loves his American so I guess it comes down to personal preference.
