can you guys tell me what the max oal you can fit into either magazines?

It should be roughly 3.85 in. It looks to me like it would not feed right without some rail/ramp work if I try to max out the COL. Have fun.

The Ruger box is 3.77"
I'm having to cut two and reweld to get the 3.85" needed for a .505 Gibbs conversion.
(that's what Bowen's does as well on his conversions.)
I dont have a CZ handy at work but I remember getting the .505 rounds to fit in my brothers CZ .416 magazine.

My CZ550 Safari magazine box measures 3.846"

My Ruger M77 Magnum magazine box measures 3.772"

Thanks guys. This 505 Gibbs project is starting to heat up. Weather it becomes a reality or not has yet to be seen. I shouldn't have sold the Ruger 416 I had, could've started with that. Live and learn.
