I just ordered a Lee Factory Crimp Die for my 500 Jeffery, as well as a Delrin bore guide.

My RCBS full length resizing die decapping pin holder snapped (don't ask me how, I use very little pressure) so I also ordered a C4HD neck sizing die to use in the meantime.

I already use the Lee Factory Crimp Die on my 375 and love it, but will let you know how they all work out if there's any interest.

Regards,

Chuck

I've always used my full set of RCBS dies for my 500 Jeff......seating and crimpimg done in 2 seperate operations.
Awesome caliber.....I love my 500 Jeff.

Best of luck....if you are working up loads, let me know...I have a few I've run thru my Heym that are consistent and very accurate.

Cheers.

Thanks! I've been using the 570g TSX, Jamison brass, Federal 215 primers, 103g H4895 for just over 2300 fps. It shoots sub MOA. I've got a bunch of 570g A-Frames I want to try, probably will try the same powder and see how it does. What are you using?

Regards,

Chuck

Chuck, I have only shot the original 535 grainers thru mine. I shot them at about 2325 or so and they are very accurate. So far, I am using Woodleighs, both soft and solid. I need to get to my office to give you powder and charges. I know H4831 has worked well for me, but I'll let you know first of the week.

Chuck...forget the 4831....memory sucks these days.
Here's my data:

Woodie 535 solid - 105 gr of H4895 for 2340 fps
Woodie 535 soft - 106 gr of H4895 for 2330 fps
Woodie 535 solid - 108.5 gr of RL15 for 2345 fps
Woodie 535 soft - 110 gr of RL15 for 2315 fps

The 4895 loads are as sweet as it gets....I see no need to change anything.

Thanks Gary, I'm getting great results with H4895 with my 570g loads as well.
