I need some advice on possible installation
of a red dot or reflex site on a Ruger RSM 458
Lott. Currently I use a ghost ring. I want it
set up for 25-75 yard shots. Looks like
the integral Ruger base would require some type
of adapter. Your advise would be greatly
appreciated.

Wayne at AHR used a Burris Ruger base to put a FastFire 3 on a tang safety Ruger .458 WM for me.

There are lots of other red dot sights out there and you might be able to get one on a different adapter.

I have been letting my kids carry the rifles most of this year and have not taken the Ruger out for a spin just yet.

You have several options, especially if your sight has a picatinny rail base.......
