I had to get a couple of boxes. I had ordered items from CTD earlier this week and next day delivery without requesting. I suppose it was coming from Fort Worth. I wish I had known about this ammo and would've added to my order. Still a great deal.

Just a head's up: SWVA Arms in Virginia also has the same ammo for the same price.

http://www.swva-arms.com/p-710...ox10case-copper.aspx

Anyway you cut it, a $1.98 per round for A Frame's isn't bad ... Just a few cents more than PPU ammo!

Just ordered five boxes from SWVA. Had planned to handload the 270 gr TSX for my 2016 brown bear hunt but will just run with these assuming they shoot well enough in my BRNO. Helluva a deal given twenty bullets alone run $28 or so. Appreciate the link.

I'm basically a handloader but I did do one safari with this Remington 375 load. I was very happy with the results as the load was accurate and shot to he same point of impact as my handloads with the 300 SAF. If I was not a handloader I'd grab a bunch of this ammo.

I did and I reload as well, but .375 H&H is a new caliber/gun for me, so I would have to buy the brass and Swift A Frames in any event. A quick check with Ammoseek indicates that Norma brass is $1.71 per case and Nosler brass is $2.34 per case in quantities of 25. PPU brass at Grafs is about 1.17 per case, but you have to buy 100. Grafs shows Remington brass at a $1.00 a case, but they are out of stock on it.

As to the bullets, again, Ammoseek shows 300 grain Swift A Frames in .375 at $1.30 per bullet from Midsouth.

Assuming that you went with the cheaper PPU brass that is readily available, (which might be just fine), that puts you at $2.47 per round, ($1.17 + $1.30), without primer / powder / your reloading time. The deal on the Remington ammo works out to $1.98 a round. "... Such a deal ..." at least for me.

I am glad to hear that Remington ammo worked well on your Africa hunt, because that is exactly where mine is going as well. And, when all is said and done ultimately I will have a bunch of brass to reload when the time comes.

That's why I bought 200. Not worth the time to reload even when I have cases at $2 a round.....

How does one store ammo - I currently have all my ammo stocked on book shelves in my pathetic trophy room ?

I assume ammo is good for 20 years ?

A 300g A-Frame from our 375 using Remington Safari Grade 300 Swift A-Frame ammunition after it hit a brown bear in his right shoulder at 13 yards and traversed him diagonally the bullet ending up in the hide of his left thigh. It still weighed 299.5 grains ...

Good ammo!

ammo is good for a lot longer than 20 years....I shot hundreds of 1920's 8x57 ball ammo and never had a single round fail to fire....and who knows how well it was kept.
