I need a set of original open sights for my Winchester pre 64/ 375 H&H. Where would one find something like this. Also would a Quarter rib or express sights, With a front barrel band increase or decrease the worth of this gun??? MD

There where several versions. You most likly could determine which version your rifle came from the factory with from Roger Rule's book The Riflemen's Rifle. Additionaly someone could take a stab at it, from knowing the year of Mfg. and grade of rifle and barrel conformation.
As far as changing the value, that depends on whose wanting it. I'm not trying to be a smart ass. You may increase the value to yourself and its usefullness in the field, by doing the alterations you mentioned, or for another hunter. But as for a collector they preffer unaltered and mint.
Gunlist would be a start, at locating the sights. Hopefully some smith will see this and tell you he has a box under the bench full of them.
