Dang it I cant keep from buying a good deal.I got another 416 Rem mag.I swear this was a deal this time I have $20 invested.I got a safe free with my big safe I sold it and ammo a friend gave me took that money bought a gun at 1/3 the real price and sold it.I will have $20 in a $2500 gun.I cant beat that with a stick.I always buy 416s and 338 cheap if I have the money I will get it.You can go wrong.Any 338 under $450 is worth it and every 416 under $1000 is a good deal these days.I gotta have this one workede on a little but my gunsmith owes me money from the last time.I will have three matched pairs of 416 rem mags.I hope that I get some more bullets cheap somehow.I have plenty of brass.I gotta join the sportsmans club I think my free shooting place is going to close soon.I need to load up some more plinking ammo for my 416 to go do some blasting.

No such thing as too many .416s. Time to throw in a little variety, though - .416 Rigby, .416 Taylor, .416 Weatherby, etc. NRA Lifer; DSC Lifer; SCI member; DRSS; AR member since November 9 2003 Don't Save the best for last, the smile for later or the "Thanks" for tomorow

I have six again good even #.If I didnt have 8,000 pcs of 416 rem mag brass it would be different. When I get time and the money I will put together a 416 Ruger on my Ruger 77 thats a 7 mm rem mag now.I couldnt pass this 416 up though.I like the 416 Rem mag best because it is not picky on powder and I think its about mt limit on recoil.I tried some of my 410 gr woodleighs loaded hot in my 7.5 pound 416 and they are a little tough on the shoulder.I like it because I can use Reloader 15 powder with any 416 bullet.I am not sure if the 416 Ruger likes it or not.I do want a tang safety Ruger 77.I have to find a stock strong enough to handle the 416 Ruger as Ruger stocks are not good above 338 win mag it seems.I wish I could use a laminated one but I would take a hspresion if it could be done.Thats the stock on my big game rifles which I like better than any.The fiberglass stocks kick less than the wooden one which is heavier by 2 pounds .I think the 416 Ruger might be better than the 416 Rem mag only time will tell. You cant go too wrong with any 416.

Dgr416;;;;;;;;I wonder if a M77mk2 bolt will work in a tang safety action ...All a smith would need to do is install the ejector ..... Perhaps the cocking piece would need to be swapped out ?/ You could have a CRF but more important the fixed ejector instead of the plunger ..........I myself really like the swing safety but the tang safety is very handy ......... .If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....

I am pretty sure they wont switch.I have had no failures with the old Ruger 77 in my 338s over 3000 rounds.I did have a model 70 crf that I dont trust worth a dang.It has jammed alot of times slow and fast.I trust the Rugers Mark I and Mark II.The Mark I are way smoother.I have to find a strong stock or build one.
