I built a 375 weatherby mag a few years back and am interested in how the factory 300 gr Noslers react on African game. My gun actually chronos (Ohler 35) at 2800 fps which surprised me being on a 24" barrel. I have shot 300 lb feral hogs through both shoulders and just pancakes them; but it should! Are the factory loads OK for Buffalo? I know the Nosler Partitions 338 and up and significantly stronger than 30 caliber and below. I realize swifts and triple shocks are the staple in Africa, just how do the new heavy Noslers stand up to a shoulder buffalo shot?

eezrider, Welcome to AR. We have a couple of members who shoot the .375Wby., and they should be along shortly. You may want to ask this question in our African Hunting Forum, as well. George
