You may send it to NECG and have the ramp dovetail milled for the NECG Masterpiece sight inserts. Beauty of this system is the nice selection of sight blade types, and the blades have a spring loaded plunger in the ramp allowing one to change the signt blade in the field, if damaged, or for another type blade.

Is the standard blade on the cz's not considered suitable ??

PC: The standard blade is excellent for precision shooting in good light. I am having trouble picking it up under lower light conditions and against dark targets. Its probably my eye sight. B

John, Thanks for the advice... but you are about 10 days too late for me to send it to have mine milled... I put one off a 416 cz on my 376, damn the luck.. I talked with the guys at CZ and there ar FOURTEEN different heights, but the same sight. Jeffe

With a file and a little handy work, you should be able to modify the NECG bead to fit your CZ 550 Safari. I have made two so far and they work just fine. The only downside would be the exposed bare metal unless you have access to a blueing tank. According to NECG, they are working with their supplier in Germany to make a replacement bead specifically for the CZ. Good luck.

It took me 15 min with a Dremel to make the NECG blade fit the CZ. Touch it with Oxpho blue and you are in business.
