I love my Rem 798 I had re-chambered to .375 Wby and I also like Weatherby rifles and would like to have one in .375 Wby.

It appears the only way to get a Mark V chambered to .375 Wby is from their custom shop. The custom Euromark retails for $2,030. Has anyone bought through their custom shop? If so, what is the process?

I had EuroMark in .416 Weatherby and took a big elk with it some years ago. Absolutely beautiful rifle and accurate as I could ever want. I then bought a Custom Safari in the same caliber through the Custom Shop and that too is amazingly accurate.

Basically, I went to me usual dealer (loves me for the money I've spent over the years) said "I want X, Y and Z on my Weatherby", he placed to order and I had exactly what I asked for about 6 weeks later.

Call the custom shop -I think Jarred is the name of one of the people with whom I spoke some years ago. Great people who were very helpful and answered all of my questions.

Oh and my avatar there to the left is the 400grain Swift A-frame I recovered from that elk after 284 yards and breaking the left shoulder, macerating the heart, lungs, going through the paunch, breaking the right hip and resting just under the skin.

I don't think these are true custom shop rifles. One reason is the very low price. My guess is they are the Synthetic barreled action in a Euromark stock and that would in fact match the price. That rifle is cheaper than a standard Deluxe and Euromarks were previously about $100 dearer than the Deluxe.

My guess is these rifles are perhaps the start of someting Wby will do, that is, for selling low demand calibres.

But if it is custom shop then the barreled action will be absolute tops. Put a set Leupold dual dove tails on, drop in a centred scope and the rifle will probably be close to being bore sighter.

It is a while since I have dealt with them but Dean was the fellow running the custom shop.

I have had 4 rifles from the custom shop and also been involved with other shooters rifles. Service is superb. I am in Australia and they phoned me to let me know when the rifles were shipped to the agent and then phone again to say they arrived in Australia.

They basically have twp price ranges. One is the rifles illustrated and also the rifles you can make via the customshop website. The other price is phoning Dean and getting what you want. That can get very pricey but they take a lot of beating.

If you get that Euromark I would also consider ordering the all steel bottom metal. It is made like a Swiss watch but will add a few hundred to the price.

Also worth checking with www.hendershots.net as they get a lot of a guns from the custom shop.
