Some good news here about MRC. I just got in 3 actions and barrels from our friends at MRC and I have to say that at first inspection the finish and quality looks to be improved over earlier examples.

This is my first try with their barrels so time will tell but the finish is good and will polish and blue out nicely. The actions are what I would call better than factory finish for the above the stock lines but the internal surfaces need work. To be expected on a cast action and no impact on function. Best guess is 10 hours and it will look totally classy above the stock line. The rails are already set up for the cartridges to be used (458 Lott, 375 H&H and 300 H&H) and feed dummies well. I will smooth it up so it's like silk but is still very good and definitely worth the price paid.

The triggers are good. The bottom metal needs some edge removal but nothing to get your knickers in a snit about.

Now I need to get the time to get these along with all my other half done projects done. I keep saying I'm not spending another penny until the existing rifles are done but then something shows up that I just can't live without.

Well at least I know I have to live until I’m at least 165 years old to get finished all the crap I’ve got started so that a good thing……I think

Thought some of you guys would like to know about the 1999s. JMHO...FWIW
