Looks like Heym did it right with that rifle. But for the price, a guy could get into a double rifle....

You could do a 600OK for $3500-$4000 and easily exceed 600 NE velocity. IMHO

Or as 500grains says have a very nice Searcy double for the price.

Or buy the field grade 470NE or 500NE from Butch and still have almost enough cash left over to build a 600 OK. Why have one when you can have two.

Thanks for the cool article Nick. It makes me wonder if I should sell everything I have just to buy that 600 Nitro Express. [Smile] It is truly an awesome cartridge and the big bolt action must be very impressive.

You don't need to win the lottery to be able to afford $10K rifles; you just need to give up dating, give up motorcycles, give up beer, etc.

I have been watching this rifle on GunBroker all summer. Not many takers out there for such a monster bolt rifle. I handled one of these monsterous rifles a few years back at the SCI convention. I memory serves me right, the rifle weighed around 15 pounds. Recoil must be awsome. [Eek!]
