Im read the review of your 505 Gibbs rifle in Guns and Ammo some time ago. Beautiful rifle! All the very best from someone whose country has sadly forgotten it's hunting history and heritage.

Good stuff. Do you have the capability/ inclination to export from the US? Glad you will be making for lefties. Get the product right and you will clean up the $$$.

Please do not be offended, as I am sure the quality of your product will be superb, and I am also sure that you have given this a lot of thought, but I am afraid that your prices will be too high for many, if not most sportsmen--even the well-heeled. Complete semi-custom rifles can be had for your action price alone, and the starting price for full blown custom rifles is not much more than twice that price. I don't know what you can do about this, though, other than cut your margins, and in any case I do wish you the very best of luck in making a go of this.

Hi Johan, If you would like to see some of Granite Mountain Arms actions they are posted on my website at www.470mbogo.com. There is information as well as contact numbers etc. Take care, Dave

The biggest one offerred would make good sense for a .505 Gibbs, .585 Nyati, or 577 T.Rex. In fact, it is the only action I know of suitable for a "577 Flying Rifle." Better start saving my pennies.

If the Montana rifleman can make a super magnum action that sells for about $700.00 even though,I am told, they need about $300.00 to $500.00 worth of custom action work to make them smooth, then the GMA action is a second choice for me. I am waiting for the Big action to come out so I can build another 505 Gibbs.

I've seen the Granite Mt. actions at SCI before. They are beautifully-made, of the highest-quality, and well-worth the cost. They are, after all, of milled-steel construction - no castings - and this sort of uncompromising quality adds to the cost. It's worth it if a true best-quality rifle is what you seek. I speak in generalities, but actions are like just about anything else: Some are significantly more expensive than others, but there's usually a reason, and you usually get exactly what you pay for. To the folks at Granite Mt., a question: Are you going to come out with an action that's engineered to properly wortk with the WSM cartridges? None of the production rifle actions seem quite right for this purpose in my opinion. AD
